Founded in 1995 as BAGEL KING, and based in Las Vegas, Amazingmuffins.com has been a leading provider of fine baked Products to the major hotels and casinos on “the strip,” as well as coffee shops, convenience stores and cafeterias throughout the greater Las Vegas area.
When Ron Folkenflik, who was born and grew up in New Jersey, founded BAGEL KING, his vision was for the company to provide “the best New York style bagels, west of the Mississippi.”
Since its founding, the company has continually grown and prospered by focusing on Ron’s vision. Mandalay Bay, Harrah’s, New York, New York, Luxor, House of Blues, Treasure Island, Starbucks, Las Vegas Convention Center, Sands and Hilton are among the company’s many satisfied customers. Their incredibly strict requirements for product quality, appearance, taste, consistency and attractive prices have been, and continue to be the company’s “measure of success.”
In 1998, having expanded its product line from just 14 varieties of Bagels to include Muffins, Danish, Cookies, Scones, Brownies, Donuts and bread, BAGEL KING changed its name to BAKERY KING. Even though over 7 years have raced by, many of the Executive Chefs at the major Hotels and Casinos in Las Vegas, prefer, and still refer to us as BAGEL KING.
In 2002, Ron asked his brother-in-law, Bill Feldman to join him and help manage and continue BAKERY KING’s explosive growth. Our recent launching of www.amazingmuffins.com is yet another step forward in the company’s continuing success.
A major factor for the company’s success has been that we use only the finest and highest quality ingredients available anywhere, and many of our ingredients are imported to us from around the world. All of the ingredients we use are 100% pure and are made according to the highest standards anywhere. We do not add preservatives to our products, and we have great pride in the quality of all of our products.
Another very important factor in the company’s success has been our “Baker’s Dozen;” the first 13 bakers to join and work at our company. Their expertise, training, dedication and experience; coupled with Ron and Bill’s open, informal, and “let’s get it done” style of management, have enabled the company to continue its rapid growth.
The recent launch of www.amazingmuffins.com represents our company’s desire to more directly interact with the consumers of our products. It is also, to a large extent, our response to hundreds of requests for us to ship our products directly to our customers after they have returned home from their vacation or visit to Las Vegas.
Sally Jefferies from Seattle “discovered” our Bagels at Mandalay Bay recently. Having grown up in New York and then relocating to Seattle at the age of 21, she had never been able to find Bagels similar to the ones she loved as a teenager in New York. She contacted the Executive Chef at Mandalay Bay and learned that their Bagels were actually produced for them by BAKERY KING. She contacted us and requested that we Fedex a dozen assorted Bagels to her each week until “two weeks after I die.” Sally’s request has been echoed by many others who have requested that we ship them our Muffins, Danish, Bagels, Cookies and especially our Scones and Brownies.
